Educational Qualification
The educational qualification varies depending on the post.
For Sub-Engineer Gr-I
- candidates must have either passed ITI in the Draftsmanship trade or hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution/university or an equivalent qualification. The notification also states that any higher qualification will not be considered as an additional qualification.

- candidates must be graduates from a UGC-recognised university and possess a Computer Diploma Certificate of at least 6 months from a recognised institution.

Age Limit
The minimum age of candidates should be 18 years and the maximum age should be 40 years as on 1 January 2026.The upper age limit is relaxable by:
5 years for SC/ST (P)/ST (H) candidates.
Other age relaxation will be applicable as per the relevant Government of Assam rules and the Government of Assam notification mentioned in the advertisement.
